Welcome to my new fanfic site, this site follows my fanfic which is based on the TV Show Dream Team. I started writing this fanfic after the coach crash at the end of series 5. Here is a review of the first series (2002/03) and the review of episode 1 of series 2.

The Ron Young Era. August to Early December
August

The aftermath of the crash is revealed, Danny Rawsthorne, Claudia Irving and Patrick Doyle were all killed in the coach crash, a large portion of the squad have left or retired including Linton Alexander and Sam Irving has sold the club to a lottery winner called Bill Johnson. Bill Johnson decides to sell the Barons and recruits former Harchester midfield man Ron Young as the new manager after he led Plymouth to the division 3 title. Eddie Moliano comes back for Danny's funeral and tells Fletch he is coming back to Harchester, also on the same day it is revealed that Joe Rawsthorne had committed suicide. Fletch goes to Lyon to join the French Champions with Swedish brothers Jim and Magnus Johansson moving in the opposite direction. There is a fight in studs between Stevie Shaw after two lads who try it on with Nikki, it is later revealed they are the Johansson brothers. During the Lyon medical Fletch breaks his ankle meaning Johnson is short of cash to buy the Johanssons, so he sells the training ground, the Barons and gives Lyon 1 million left to the club in Danny Rawsthorne's will. Young up and coming striker Keith McCormack ends up sleeping with Ron Young's 22 year old daughter Michelle the night before the first game of the season. The same night Ron Young's best mate, former Harchester midfielder and telecommunications supremo John Douglas decides he wants to buy the Dragons and says he wants to win the league. In the first game of the season, Stevie Shaw breaks his leg, debutant Magnus Johansson is sent off and the Dragons win 3-1 with a brace from McCormack and a late header from sub Will Vaughan. Harchester end up signing Ryan Young, and win the replayed UEFA Cup final. After a few disciplinary incidents Keith McCormack is shipped out on loan to Udinese and old fans favourites Luis Amor Rodrigues and Campbell Hooper arrive, as does Polish striker Adam Sroka. John Douglas offers to send Gary Peggs to America to help rebuild his career. Tragedy for new midfielder Ryan Young as his wife Sarah commits suicide.


September

Harchester beat Real Madrid in the European Super Cup, overall it's a relatively quiet month for the Dragons who are winning games.


October

Keith McCormack who is on loan in Italy impresses Sven Goran Eriksson who selects him for the European Championship qualifiers. There is an incident in a bar between Ryan and Keith after Keith gets cocky at his ever growing stature and ends up missing the game after Ryan threatens him. England go on to win their qualifier with help from Ryan Young. Ryan Young decides he will punish Keith for trying to show him up. Fletch returns to the team.


November

Keith McCormack returns to Harchester in time for their Worthington Cup tie with division two team Crewe, Ryan pays his former Leeds team mate Robbie Bennett £100 000 to break Keith's legs. Returning skipper Stevie Shaw is incensed by the incident. Robbie Bennett comes to Mill Lane to get his money but Ryan refuses to pay as Robbie Bennett has messed the job up, Robbie Bennett, angry that he cannot get his money leaves, and knocks young midfielder David Jenkins off his bike, realising he can't be seen in Harchester, flees his car and Ryan Young lies to the police over what he knows. Ryan and Robbie Bennett eventually get caught at the Grange and Ryan is sentenced to several months in prison, it is the last time he sees his father. Ron Young signs Kenny Jones as his assistant and introduces the team to Ronan O'Kelly who will be joining the team, this makes Stevie angry. Monday Bandele snaps his cruciate ligament and is told he'll have to retire, he ends up taking the Harchester Town manager's job. Vietnamese Sweeper Sam Do arrives.


December

Harchester agree a deal with Manchester United with Keith McCormack and Will Vaughan are set to join Manchester United in a deal that is worth £25 million when the transfer window reopens in January. Harchester undergo a 4-3 thriller against Leeds at the Lair, in which Keith breaks his leg destroying his move to Manchester United, Fletch hits a hat trick, but tragically Ron Young suffers a heart attack which is fatal.

The Transition Period: Early December to late January
At the funeral John Douglas decides he no longer wants to run the club and hands control over to his 31 year old son Barry. Ron's daughter Michelle becomes close with Luis. Harchester beat Spurs on penalties in the Worthington Cup quarter finals. After being released from prison Ryan Young is snapped up for nothing by Harchester Town after he was released in the November after bringing the club into disrepute.


January

Harchester unveil 6 new signings. 2 times World Cup winner Leo, Ronan O'Kelly, young Brazilian Edinho, Italian wing back Ricardo Pernacubo and two lower league players Luke Abington and Joey Davison with Campbell Hooper, Peter Mack and a few others leaving. The new signings have a disasterous debut as Harchester United are beaten by division 2 Harchester Town with goals from Ryan Young and Morris O'Connell. Ronan O'Kelly clashes with O'Connell and is sent off, the day ends in tragedy when a fire breaks out in the ground killing 567 fans who were trapped escaping from the old Harchester Town ground. Ronan O'Kelly blames Stevie Shaw for the decline in his career and vows to get revenge. Kenny Jones is sacked after accepting illegal payments from Joao Martinez for signing troubled Brazilian Edinho and dodgy Italian Pernacubo. Harchester win their Worthington Cup semi final with Blackburn under the control of Andy Ansah and Irishman Paddy O'Connell who played for Liverpool is given the manager job after learning his trade Switzerland, Kaiserslauten and Parma. O'Connell ships out Pernacubo and resigns Ryan Young for £2 million and also signs his son Morris from Harchester Town, Stevie Shaw is assassinated at a set of traffic lights and Edinho and O'Kelly clash after hearing of the news as Edi finds something odd about Ronan. The next day the Dragons set out and destroy Bolton 14-0 in a win which they dedicate to late captain Stevie Shaw and the fans get to see the true class of Edi. Linton Alexander is arrested over the murder.

The main run in: February to April

February

Keith McCormack finds Italian girlfriend Sofia Marinello cheating on him with chief executive Barry Douglas who he throws out of a first floor window but happens to lands on a bush and is relatively uninjured. Harchester play rearranged third round UEFA Cup match with Porto with Jonathan Kenton taking over from injured Jamie Parker in goal. Luke Abington starts hitting the target after going through a barren spell. Keith McCormack fails to regain his place in the team and turns to drugs, he deliberately sets out to injure Luke Abington who has taken his place, Keith dives in recklessly on Luke who breaks his leg in three places, breaking both bones in his lower leg keeping him out for 8 months. Keith is sent away by the manager and becomes depressed and is about to attempt to commit suicide when Ryan Young and the police stop him, he is sent away to recover. Harchester win the Worthington Cup with help from superb young keeper Jonathan Kenton. Kenton starts a relationship
with manager's girlfriend Joanne O'Driscoll. Nikki finds out she is pregnant with late boyfriend Stevie's baby.


March

Kenton is dropped after a mistake against Lyon but they still get through to the quarter finals to play Real Betis. Luis and Michelle announce they are expecting a child together and are due to get married in the summer. Keith arrives back from rehab a better person, and fits straight back into the team and form the fab 5 of Fletch, him,
Edi, Magnus and Adam Sroka. Off field Ronan O'Kelly starts going out with Sofia, Keith is worried about her safety with him and lets his feelings be known but she tells him that he is jealous.


April

Gary Peggs arrives back from America and on the same night Sofia is attacked by Ronan. Fletch, Will, Jamie and Edi come to her rescue and Edi gets in a fight with Ronan. Fletch decides to look after Sofia. She contacts her brothers in Italy and tells
them what Ronan did to her. Ronan is attacked by two gunmen who shoot him and then throw his body in the canal, Ronan's cousin, young Harchester defender Gareth O'Kelly is frightened by what he sees and escapes back to Ireland. Ronan's brother
Kian vows revenge on the attackers and the club. Harchester beat Lazio to get into the UEFA Cup final is Seville. Edi and the others are arrested over the attack after police believe he carried out the attack as there had been earlier incidents between the two over the Stevie murder. Police find evidence in Ronan's flat that links him to the
murder and Linton Alexander is cleared. Edi falls in love with a police officer called Jessica Thorn and he finds out she has a younger brother called Anthony involved at the club. When Edi and the others are released on bail, Edi decides he wants to skip the country and at the last moment he changes his mind.

The final run in: May

May


Darren French's mum arrives in town and tells him that manager Paddy is his dad. Edi, Fletch, Jamie and Will are called into the police station with news clearing them and the same day as the Villa away game and it is the same day in which Darren
confronts Paddy over his parentage. Paddy stays behind to talk to Darren and his other son Morris, Paddy accepts Darren as his son and Morris accepts Darren as his brother. Darren changes his name from French to O'Connell. Meanwhile a depleted archester squad lose to Aston Villa and are torn apart by a young winger called Lewis Clough. The title goes down to the last day of the season with the Dragons needing a win. On the last day of the season Harchester take on Manchester United who are top of the league at the Lair. Ruud Van Nistelrooy puts Man United into the lead, but substitute Gary Peggs equalises with 10 minutes to go and Ryan Young lobs Barthez in stoppage time after seeing the ghost of his father shouting to him on the
touchline. Harchester then head to Seville ahead of the UEFA Cup final with Celtic. The Saturday before the final, Luis and Michelle get married. At the reception Tash takes baby Daniel outside for some fresh air when there is an explosion inside the
reception room. Tash breaks down in tears as the fire brigade and ambulances arrive.


Episode 1 of series 2 of my fanfic starts with Edi and Ryan Young scoring against celtic in the UEFA Cup final five days after the explosion. The team is made up of a few players who were uninjured due to their position in the room, reserves and kids.


July
There is a memorial. The lives tragically lost were Luis Amor Rodrigues, Eddie Moliano, Joey Davison, Morris O'Connell, Sofia Marinello and her two brothers who were the hitmen. Frank Patcham is the manager and recruits World Cup winner Pierre Poisson from Inter Milan, super winger Lewis Clough Aston Villa and left back Tariq Earle from Arsenal to replace Moliano. Fletch is in a coma due to his injuries. Adam Sroka is disillusioned with life at the club after the explosion and feels he is unsafe and decides to take a move to Bayer Leverkusen. A feud between Ryan and Pierre opens up as when they were at Chelsea as youngsters Pierre slept with Michelle when she was only 15 and Ryan beat Pierre up. Ryan ends up making a fool of himself at a chairty do when he starts on Pierre.
